What have I been up to? – Sada Roti Lime

What can I say? This sada roti lime was in the planning for some time and it finally came through. Since La Vega we didn't have a “get together” so a nice Sada Roti themed dinner seemed fitting. So what goes well with Sada Roti? Lots of things but the chokas were the stars this time. We had tomato choka, potato choka, baigan (eggplant) choka, stewed chicken for those who wanted meat and a mystery guest.

So, here we have my plate with all the delicious chokas.
Do you notice the mystery guest on my plate? I just had to take some!

While the men cooked the women enjoyed some good soca music 2k11…..
and even danced with a coconut branch.

Here we have the mystery guest being prepared. Think you can guess what it is?

After all the cooking it was time to dig in. Want some? Grab a plate and wait your turn lol 🙂

As the night drew on we enjoyed our meal to our wonderful soca music.
Here's some soca for carnival 2K11. Enjoy!

Anyhow, For those of you still guessing who what was the mystery guest stay tuned for my next post where I show you how to make it.

Ah gone! 🙂
