If you want a simple snack, Breadfruit Chips is just the simplest homemade snack ever. This recipe is so simple, I almost cannot classify it as a recipe. But I am still posting it because what may seem simple for me may not be for someone else. I got a breadfruit the other day and it was so big I decided to cut it in half and make oil down with one half and breadfruit chips with the rest.
The pictures are self explanatory and they do say a picture is worth a thousand words so together with this little paragraph here's eleven thousand more :^) ha ha!! Enjoy breadfruit chips. Of course if you're like me you may want a dip to go with the chips so you could try any of the chutneys I posted before like mango chutney, chadon beni chutney or tambran sauce.
½ Breadfruit thinly sliced
1 clove garlic
6 leaves chadon beni (culantro)
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups oil (for frying)
Cut up the breadfruit and then slice thinly
Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Add salt and the rest of the chopped seasonings and mix.
