Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cloves garlic finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sugar brown
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon green seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt optional
  • 1 teaspoon pepper to taste
  • Dash black pepper


  • In a pot or sauce pan add the bay leaf and ketchup. Then add the grated ginger and garlic. Add the sugar, soy sauce and green seasoning. add the water, salt, pepper and a dash of black pepper.
  • Over a medium flame bring to a boil while stirring. Set aside to cool. When cooled you can store it in the refrigerator.
