Fry Ochro (Okra)

Ochro is sautéed with some onion and garlic. A tasty treat that can be served with roti or bake.

  • 12 ochroes okras
  • ½ onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt to taste optional
  • Pepper to taste optional


  • Chop the ochroes, onion, and garlic. Saute the onion and garlic until golden brown add the ochro then add salt and pepper to taste Fry the ochro until it has a golden colour.


The ochro loses its mucilage (slime) when properly cooked. Use this as a guide
