The Simply Trini Cooking Cookbook – A Labour of Love
It was not easy compiling over 600 recipes along with 244 photos into a single book. There were a lot of ups and downs, but patience is a good teacher. We have learnt a lot in the past year about publishing, compiling, editing, formatting, and proofreading a book. We had to teach ourselves, for the simple fact that we wanted to keep the price of publishing down. Going the self-publishing way helped us save a lot of money and allowed us to make it possible; any other way would have been more costly and trying on our patience, relationships, and our pockets.
It was not easy keeping this to ourselves. I feel I must apologize to my readers about not informing them of our preparations of a cookbook. We wanted to fully focus on it, so only a few people, knew of the book. They helped us greatly and offered a lot of encouragement, even when the computer crashed more than once and the book seemed overwhelming. We put a lot aside to get this book done and I hope you all enjoy it as much as you do when you visit the site.
