Beet Tonic

This beet tonic was requested by a reader after we posted the beet shake.  First, I would like to say that this beet drink is extremely tasty, with an appearance of the colour of red wine. I call this a beet tonic, because this carrot, beetroot, cucumber parsley juice is considered a super healthy cleansing drink, especially for women.  It is also especially good for women with menstruation problems. Now, I don’t want to say that it would relieve you of all your problems, I can’t say that.  But, what I can say is that everyone is different.  However, if  you decide to try this beet tonic, and you think it was really helpful, you can always leave your comment as testimony to your experience.

This Beet Tonic is Nutritionally Amazing

The combination of these vegetables to make this beet tonic is  amazing.  Now, the actual content of iron in red beets is not high, but it is the highest quality you would find in any vegetable.  Thus, raw beetroot is an excellent food for the red blood corpuscles and to tone up the blood.

The combination of carrot and beet juice can help build the blood cells, and thus it is good for menstrual and even menopausal problems.  It can also help correct menstrual problems or disturbances.  Cucumber juice combined with carrot and beet juice makes this drink a cleansing and healing aid for the gall bladder, liver, kidney, prostate and sex glands.  Some herbalist also say this is good for rheumatic conditions.  The parsley with beet, carrot and cucumber juice is also good for menstrual discharge and to reduce menstrual cramps.   Therefore, this drink has many benefits.

BEET TONIC

4 med size carrots
1 beetroot
1 cucumber
1 handful of baby spinach
1/4 cup parsley

 

 

 

 Juice all ingredients and drink immediately.
Yields about 1 1/4 cups

 

Some more advice

Premenstrual symptoms (PMS) come in many forms.  You can decrease your PMS by eliminating  starches and sugars during your menstruation.  Also, avoid  honey, caffeine and dairy products as well. You can drink green vegetable
juices and eat watermelon and grapes if you are have water retention.

Now, fruit and raw vegetable juices are digested quickly (15 to 20 minutes) if taken on an empty stomach.  It would take longer if you have undigested food in the stomach, and the juices are more likely to start fermenting in the stomach.  This could result in bloating and flatulence.  So keep this in mind when you drink your fruit and raw vegetable juices.

It is recommended that you take this beet tonic in small quantities, not more than a wine-glass at a time or 2 to 4 ounces two to three times a day.  Women can also benefit by drinking at least one pint of a combination of carrot and beet juice daily.  In greater quantities, the cleansing reaction may cause you to feel a little dizzy or nauseated.  This is the cleansing reaction, however, you will begin to tolerate this cleansing effect later.

I believe you will soon come to prefer this natural remedy rather than the “degenerative” effects of drugs, which usually have a temporary effect, to treat menstruation problems, menstruation cramps and even menopause.

    Thank you for this. I have an Aunt who is ill and cannot tolerate much food because of her chemotherapy. I shall see if she can tolerate and get additional nutrition from consuming this. Thanks again.
