Cole Slaw

Since I posted the pelau recipe and said that it goes good with cole slaw I decided to post it today.
A simple cole slaw not only makes the plate looks attractive it also adds some extra vegetables to the meal. And it is crunchy! I prefer the cabbage and carrots sliced thinly, but not minced.

Cole Slaw, cole slaw recipeCole slaw together with pelau and a slice of zaboca.

Cole slaw

1 cup cabbage, finely shredded

1 small carrots, finely shredded

2 tsp. mayonnaise

1/2 tsp. mustard sauce

1 tsp. sugar

black pepper to taste

Wash the cabbage and peel the carrots. Finely shred the cabbage and carrots.

Mix the cabbage with the rest of the ingredients.

Serve with your favourite rice dish

This is too easy, it doesn't even feel like a recipe but don't worry. Tomorrow I'll have that taken care of . Until then, bye.

Yep cole slaw is really cool with pelau and a perfect match for an ordinary dinner at home but not ordinary in that sense, it was really gourmet dish and increased my appetite for out of routine intakes of food, I am happy with it because I felt quite better and my stomach got lots of fiber wit raw cabbage and carrots stuff.

Thanks a lot!

Thx for all the recipes, its good that proper West Indian food is being put out there, rather than "caribbean" cooking, where people chuck mango and pineapple into everything and call it tropical. Any chance you could put up a recipe for pepper?

Muhammad and figgy, thank you for your comments. I just wished other people could comment and get backlinks. Anyhow, Figgy, Pepper Sauce is in the plans I don't know when I would post it because I already have a request for sugar cake so I would have to do your request afterward.

mom and i make cole slaw regularly too
well ... ever so often
we try different mustards and we have this horseradish sauce...oooh and vinegar, usually apple cider
i'm usually in charge of making the dressing and as long as it's tangy/tart mom's good.
