    Thank you

Hey, thank you for your reply.
In Aruba we call it Johnny Cake.
It's a round fried dough that rises beautifully and you can stuff it with any filling you like, cheese, salt fish, corned beef, curry lamb and more. I would also like to see what you mean with Johnny Bake.
    Thank You

OK! I now see what's going on. What you call Johnny Cake we call fry bake or float based on the rising agent used i.e. baking powder or yeast. The johnny bake, on the other hand, is a thick bake that we make. I did the fry bake and flaot already, you can check it out above in the links. Hope this helps.:-)

Hey Felix, I have to tell you this is the Illustrative cookbook I have ever seen in my life. The step by step pictures are awesome. I had a catering business and I made many of these dishes, but I was disappointed that you didn't show how to make "doubles". I think if you added that then this was make it complete(just a suggestion), thanks.

Ian this blog is still young and I promise you the doubles will come in time. Even after the doubles, there are still much much more Trini dishes to post. So stay tuned. Thanks for your comment :-)

Hey Felix, I am sorry I forgot the word best in my comment. I meant to say this is the "Best" illustrative cookbook I have ever seen. Sorry about that. I am also glad to hear that doubles will be coming soon. You are the man.
